Billi Jo has two Bachelors of Science Degrees (biology and chemistry) and has received her Certified Hazardous Materials Management certification from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) and a Hazardous Materials Management certification from Georgia Tech.
Billi Jo is the manager of the Environmental Assessments, Remediation and Waste Team for Florida Power and Light (FPL) Environmental Services. She has over 20 years experience in the electric utility industry, with over 15 years experience in environmental compliance. Her experience includes multiple levels of generating facilities operations and environmental compliance: water chemist, environmental compliance specialist, project manager, supervior, regional manager. She is very familiar with all aspects of operation environmental compliance for electric generating facilities.
She currently manages a team of professionals engaged is environmental assessments for future renewable energy development, providing guidance for site remediation projects and the development of new opportunities for the reuse and recycling of waste materials generated from utility operations.
