Air Quality Modeling Specialist

George Noel serves as an Air Quality Modeling Specialist for the Environment, Air Quality and Realty Team in the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Resource Center. In this role, he delivers nationwide services in training, technical assistance, and technology deployment specializing in transportation Air Quality and Noise Modeling. Prior to joining the Resource Center, he worked at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center in the Environmental Measurement and Modeling Division for over 18 years. While at the Volpe Center, he managed various Air Quality, Noise, and other Modeling related projects, but his primary specialty was Air Quality and Noise Modeling for aviation and highway projects. He has authored papers and articles appearing in multiple conference proceedings and professional journals, including the Reliability Engineering and Systems Safety and Journal of Aircraft.
